We are seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Assessment Specialist to join our Water & Wastewater group in either our Collingwood or Barrie office.

About the Role:

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead Municipal Class EA studies and Master Plans for water and wastewater infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for directing these studies, preparing documentation, and providing technical direction to project teams.

The successful candidate will have strong project management experience, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting. They will also possess excellent verbal communication skills and advanced technical writing abilities, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and prepare Municipal Class EA studies and Master Plans for water and wastewater infrastructure projects
  • Prepare and/or review proposals, planning assessments, feasibility studies, and cost estimates involving multiple disciplines
  • C coordinate across internal disciplines and external parties on technical studies and Class EA documentation, including public and stakeholder consultation
  • Provide planning and environmental approval advice to project teams and clients
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering (Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical) and a valid Professional Engineer license. Strong knowledge of local, provincial, and federal environmental policies, legislation, and applicable law is also essential.

You should have significant experience with the Municipal Class EA process and preparation of Class EA documentation and Master Plans for municipal water and wastewater infrastructure. Familiarity with other Ontario Class EA frameworks and federal environmental assessments and screening processes would be an asset.

Benefits:

Tatham Engineering offers a competitive salary range of $110,000 - $140,000 per year, depending on experience. Additional benefits include:
