Job Description:

  • We are seeking an experienced Strategic Finance Leader to join our team in Finance & Accounting. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial guidance and support to the business, ensuring alignment with BMO's overall strategy and goals.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • They will be able to provide expert-level advice and guidance to senior leaders, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business results.
  • This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to think strategically and make sound business decisions.
  • The successful candidate will be able to foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the team, and drive change management initiatives to improve business outcomes.
  • They will also be responsible for developing and implementing financial management solutions, and working closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Provide financial guidance and support to the business, ensuring alignment with BMO's overall strategy and goals.
  • Develop and implement financial management solutions, and work closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business results, and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the team.
  • Develop and implement change management initiatives to improve business outcomes, and lead projects to deliver timely, accurate, and efficient service.
  • Work closely with senior leaders to provide expert-level advice and guidance, and help drive business decisions.
  • Manage resources and lead the execution of strategic initiatives to deliver on business and financial goals.
  • Recommends measures to improve organizational effectiveness, and serves as a trusted advisor to senior leaders.
  • Operates at a group/enterprise-wide level, and serves as a senior specialist resource across BMO.


Requirements:



  • Typically 9+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Accounting designation preferred.
  • Seasoned expert with extensive industry knowledge.
  • Technical leader viewed as a thought leader for innovation.
  • Verbal & written communication skills - Expert.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills - Expert.
  • Influence skills - Expert.
  • Collaboration & team skills; with a focus on cross-group collaboration - Expert.
  • Able to manage ambiguity.
  • Data-driven decision making - Expert.
