Job Summary

This role will involve performing repairs and maintenance on aircraft structural components and ground support equipment, including assessing damage, controlling corrosion, and modifying or replacing aircraft structures and components.


The successful candidate will have a strong background in aircraft maintenance, with experience working with specialized tools and equipment.



Key Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs and maintenance on aircraft structural components and ground support equipment
  • Assess damage and control corrosion
  • Modify or replace aircraft structures and components as required
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve project goals
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment


Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:



  • A graduate of a recognized aircraft maintenance course or apprenticeship program
  • A current Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AME) "S" license or equivalent commercial experience
  • Possesses a thorough knowledge of aircraft structures and structural components, inspection techniques, damage assessment, aircraft materials and hardware, use of special tools and equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation such as maintenance manuals, work packages, drawings, blueprints and Standard Plant Procedures
  • Ability to use standard computer programs and such specialized ones as may be necessary in the performances of the duties
  • Ability to drive vehicles and tow tractors
  • CT114 Tutor aircraft certification with Aircraft Certification Authority for Aircraft Structures and/or Shop Certification Authority for Off-Aircraft tasks
  • MRA qualified, or have the ability to achieve such qualifications in short notice
  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to IMP Occupational Health, Safety and Environment policies
  • Eligible to meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and Secret Level II Security Clearance through PSPC- Contract Security Program
