**Position Summary**:
The _Maintenance Technician _maintains the day-to-day operations and assumes responsibility for maintaining the physical assets of HomeEd’s properties under the direction of the Portfolio Manager.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Maintenance Service Requests_
- Assess priority of and complete all requests within portfolio
- Rotational on-call 24-hour emergency response across all portfolios
- Move-in and move-out requests as directed by portfolio manager
- Facility and Property Maintenance_
- Assess and complete all maintenance as directed by portfolio manager
- Alert portfolio manager of any unplanned occurrences or damages as they arise
- Monitor and maintain all building systems
- Safety and Compliance_
- Assure safety standards are used complying with HomeEd’s Safety and Alberta’s Occupational Health and Safety Standards at all times
- Ensure compliance with all work-related activities in a fair, ethical, and consistent manner
- Follow established company policies at all times
- Equipment and Tools_
- Operate and maintain HomeEd’s branded vehicles in a safe and respectful manner
- Utilize company provided cell phone and tablet for daily and on-call activities
- Conduct all work with company provided tools
- Interpersonal Interactions_
- Maintain a professional courteous manner with all residents, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees.
**Qualifications**:
- Minimum of three (3) years of maintenance/construction industry experience, preferred
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician for multi-unit rental housing
- Ability to work independently
- Experience in handling difficult situations and difficult customers in a polite manner.
- A team player with a proven ability to motivate a team.
- Strong Interpersonal and Communication Skills.
- Possess a valid driver's license, have a reliable vehicle, and possess your own tools. Available to respond to after-hour emergency call-outs.
**Annual Salary Range**:
$50,000 - $65,000
Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
