Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe and secure operation of the school library, conducive to learning.
  • Assist students and educators with book circulation, research, and the use of online library resources.
  • Provide technical support for education technology-related tools and software.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as data entry and record-keeping.
  • Collaborate with library staff to develop and implement library programs and services.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Grade 12 education.
  • 1-3 years of clerical experience, preferably in an educational library setting.
  • Strong computer and keyboarding skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and education technology-related tools.
  • Competency in library technical skills, including the Dewey Decimal System and general library procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with students and staff.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and lift boxes as required.
