Accounting Technician Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Technician to join our team at Equiton Residential Income Fund LP. As an Accounting Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide insights for business decision-making.
  • Payroll and Taxation: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, maintain accurate records of employee benefits, and prepare tax returns in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Accounting Software: Utilize accounting software to manage financial transactions, track expenses, and generate reports.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Work Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and the ability to work independently.
