Bar Attendant

We are seeking a skilled Bar Attendant to join our team at the Garrick Hotel. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests while maintaining a clean and welcoming bar environment.
Key Responsibilities- Arrange the bar area to create visually appealing displays
- Organize the operations of a cocktail lounge or bar, ensuring efficient service and high-quality beverages
- Clean the bar area and wash glassware to maintain a clean and hygienic environment
- Provide recommendations on drink selections to enhance the guest experience
- Collect payment for beverages and operate the cash register with accuracy
- Record and balance beverage sales to maintain financial accuracy
- Store beverage and food products in a clean and organized manner
- Order bar stock and maintain inventory control to ensure optimal stock levels
- Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner
- Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations to ensure a safe and responsible environment
- Prepare mixed drinks, wine, draft or bottled beer, and non-alcoholic beverages to a high standard
- Take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons
- Resolve conflict situations in a calm and professional manner
- Serving It Safe program certification
- Serving It Right Certificate
- Criminal record check
- Excellent oral communication skills
- Initiative and a proactive approach to work
- Organized and reliable with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- 2 years of experience in a related role
