Job Title: Metadata Management Expert

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Metadata Management Expert to join our team at the Royal Bank of Canada. As a key member of our data management office, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and consistency of our metadata across all data domains.

Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to collect, update, and maintain metadata in Collibra.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to ensure that metadata is properly understood and maintained.
- Develop knowledge and become a valuable team resource, supporting the execution of metadata practices in general.
- Facilitate consistent adoption of metadata standards across the enterprise, demonstrating the value added by adoption of Collibra.
- Assist with project work as required (e.g., regulatory deliverables).

Requirements:
- 1-2 years' experience in an operational environment.
- Prior experience with Enterprise Metadata Management platforms.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of metadata management concepts.
- Ability to understand the importance of metadata as it relates to applicable policy and procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of banking policies, processes, and procedures.
- Ability to work independently with general supervision/oversight to achieve short-term (daily/weekly/monthly) performance expectations.
