About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Physician to join our Pain and Symptom Management/Palliative Care team at BC Cancer – Abbotsford. As a Physician in this role, you will participate in the clinical, educational, and research activities of the team, addressing the palliative care needs of ambulant cancer patients and ensuring continuity of care through effective communication and transfers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate a coordinated approach to palliative care support
  • Provide consultation and education to other BCC care teams and community-based care providers
  • Support and engage in research and education interests in palliative and supportive care
  • Enhance awareness and provide public and provider education on palliative care and symptom management for oncology patients

Requirements

  • Be a fully licensed physician meeting the requirements of the provincial College of Physicians and Surgeons and Medical Advisory Committee of the BC Cancer and the Royal Jubilee Hospital
  • Have a Certificate of Added Competency in Palliative Care (CAC) or equivalent training and experience
