About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Vascular Surgery Associate Physician to join our team at Fraser Health.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will provide clinical support to patients in the Vascular Surgery Division, working under the supervision of a Vascular Attending. This role involves performing duties such as writing medical orders, conducting consultations, and responding to changing patient conditions.
Responsibilities
- Participate in patient rounds and assess day-to-day care of patients;
- Write medical orders, conduct consultations, and respond to changing patient conditions;
- Perform admission history and physical examinations, progress notes, discharge summaries, and medication reconciliation;
- Develop treatment plans in response to changing patient conditions;
- Communicate with patients, family members, other consulting services, and trainees concerning patient care plans;
- Perform procedures within the scope of their demonstrated competence, including insertion of peripheral intravenous lines and ultrasound-guided IV peripheral access;
- Participate in professional development activities, including attending clinical rounds, morbidity and mortality rounds, and educational sessions.
Qualifications
- Medical degree from a school listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools;
- Minimum of two years of accredited postgraduate training as a medical or surgical specialist;
- Successful completion of Part 1 of the Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination (MCCQE) or Steps 1 through 3 of the United States Medical Licensing Examinations (USMLEs);
- Eligible for registration with the BC College of Physicians and Surgeons (CPSBC) in the Associate Physician class.
Salary and Benefits
Estimated salary: $**$175,000 - $220,000 per year**, depending on experience and qualifications. A comprehensive benefits package is also offered, including health and dental insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
