Regional Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Health Specialist to join our team at Vector Construction Ltd.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional with a strong background in health and safety management to lead our efforts in ensuring a safe working environment for our employees, contractors, and clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective safety programs, conducting regular site audits, and providing training and guidance to our teams.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive safety policies and procedures
- Conduct regular site audits and inspections to identify potential hazards
- Provide training and guidance to employees and contractors on safety protocols and procedures
- Investigate incidents and develop corrective action plans
- Collaborate with department heads to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in health and safety management
- Communicate effectively with senior management, employees, and external stakeholders on safety-related matters
Requirements:
- Mandatory: NCSO designation; post-secondary education in HSE preferred
- Minimum 10 years of experience in safety management, with at least 5 years in construction
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to travel extensively throughout Canada and the US
- Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
- Passport and ability to cross borders required
Estimated Salary: $110,000 - $140,000 per year, depending on experience
