Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health Services Manager to join our team at Anishinabek Employment & Training Services. As a key member of our Health and Social Services department, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of health and social services programs to serve the needs of our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage a team of health professionals to ensure the effective delivery of health and social services programs.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the quality and accessibility of health and social services programs.
  • Collaborate with community partners to identify and address health and social service needs.
  • Manage budgets and resources to ensure the efficient delivery of health and social services programs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community stakeholders to ensure the success of health and social services programs.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Health Sciences, Social Services, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in health settings, preferably in the Anishinaabe community.
  • Minimum 5 years of management experience, including recruitment, career planning, coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Experience with collaborative planning at a community level, ideally with a health and social services focus.
  • Detail-oriented with ability to put complex puzzle pieces together.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications.
  • In-depth knowledge of First Nation health and education issues.
  • Knowledge of and experience with relevant health and education legislation.
