**Allied Health Manager Job Summary**
**Lead multidisciplinary allied health services at Toronto General Hospital and Princess Margaret Hospital**

As the leader of the multidisciplinary allied health services, the Allied Health Manager will collaborate with leadership to develop and implement effective care delivery models, manage human resources, and support the implementation of best practices.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement effective care delivery models and mechanisms to ensure the seamless provision of multiple specific allied health services
• Manage multidisciplinary human resources to ensure the provision of patient care services to established standards of excellence across multiple programs
• Support the implementation of best practices, quality documentation and accountability models
• Develop, implement and manage short/long-term plans for the multidisciplinary team, in collaboration with the leadership team, that are aligned with organizational goals and strategies
• Perform financial management responsibilities
• Perform corporate management responsibilities which support and advance departmental goals

**Qualifications:**

• At minimum, completion of a Bachelor's Degree in a regulated health profession or recognized equivalent required
• Completion of a recognized Masters Degree in Health Administration, Business or recognized equivalent required
• Greater than five (5) years of relevant experience in a clinical practice capacity
• Minimum of two (2) years' experience in a supervisory capacity with rehabilitation staff required, including labour and employee relations experience
• Membership/certification from an RHPA College in Ontario
• Demonstrated effective change management and motivational skills
• Demonstrated empathy and compassion
• Has an understanding and commitment to interdisciplinary professional practice models
• Client service oriented, with the ability to effectively work with diversity
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, along with effective negotiation skills
• Excellent critical thinking and solution-focused skills
• Strong decision making skills with the ability to form/defend independent judgment and to use good judgment in assessing challenging situations
• Ability to work effectively, demonstrate composure under pressure/stressful conditions and to meet multiple and competing deadlines
• Excellent computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office and Outlook applications
• Maintains and protects patient confidentiality in accordance with UHN Confidentiality policy requirements
• Knowledge of applicable legislative, UHN and/or departmental policies, procedures & protocols
• Knowledge of integrated health systems and resources
• Knowledge of professional and legislative provisions which impact upon work performed
