Decision Support Analyst

As a key member of our team at Southern Health-Santé Sud, the Decision Support Analyst will be responsible for the collection, analysis and presentation of quantitative and qualitative data to support planning processes in the region.

The incumbent will work closely with the senior leadership team to support evidence-informed decision making and will be responsible for the compilation and synthesis of regional data needs.

The position requires a high level of initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities, work methods to be employed and action to be taken on unusual matters. The incumbent must be able to analyze and interpret significant volumes of quantitative and qualitative data and information.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze and present data to support planning processes
  • Work closely with the senior leadership team to support evidence-informed decision making
  • Compile and synthesize regional data needs
  • Analyze and interpret significant volumes of data and information

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree in community health sciences or epidemiology
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Knowledge of Community Health Assessment processes
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and engage in group facilitation and presentations
  • Ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population
  • Proficiency in both official languages
  • Ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the job
  • Ability to respect confidentiality
