Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Lawtons. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in providing patient care and timely access to prescriptions for our nursing home residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, process, and compound prescriptions, including medication reconciliation for new admissions and readmissions to Long Term Care.
  • Check weekly cycle fills to ensure technical accuracy for regular maintenance medications packed through automation.
  • Work with various electronic medication administration platforms, including Catalyst and Point Click Care.
  • Support and manage daily workflow in the dispensary, including working directly with the pharmacist to ensure appropriate patient care.
  • Transfer prescriptions to and receive prescriptions from other pharmacies.
  • Ensure the accuracy of drug and personal health information in patient records.
  • Work with pharmacy automation, including VBMs (blister card automation) and ScriptPros (vial filling automation).
  • Collaborate with other health care professionals, including pharmacists, nurses, physicians, and nurse practitioners.
Requirements
  • Completion of Pharmacy Technician Certificate.
  • Licensed in NS.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
