Job Title: Thai Cuisine Chef

We are seeking a skilled Thai Cuisine Chef to join our team at Eat Thai Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of Thai dishes to the highest standards.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have a strong background in Thai cuisine and be able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment. You will be responsible for determining food portion sizes and costs, preparing and cooking meals, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine food portion sizes and costs
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
  • Order supplies and equipment
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas
  • Manage kitchen operations
Requirements
  • Safe Food Handling certificate
  • Food Safety Certificate
  • Thai cuisine expertise
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
