Cygnet Lodge Brighouse is a high dependency inpatient rehabilitation service for men, offering a relaxed, calm and homely environment to support up to 21 individuals increase their independence through work, education and social activities.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to lead our team and implement risk assessment and management strategies, embedding clinical governance throughout the service. The successful candidate will also supervise reports for Mental Health Act tribunals and managers' hearings, as well as participate in a regional on-call rota.

This is a full-time opportunity that offers a competitive salary of £120,000 per annum, along with a £10,000 welcome bonus and a relocation package of £8,000. In addition, you will receive medical indemnity cover, a contributory pension scheme and various other benefits, including free meals on shift and access to a Smart Health Toolkit providing fitness programmes, nutrition consultation and health checks.

Requirements
  • A first-rate communicator with knowledge of adult psychiatry and mental health diagnosis, as well as the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice.
  • An experienced clinician who can interview, assess and treat patients, writing clear and comprehensive medical notes.
