Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Informatics Manager to join their team. As a key member of the Clinical Informatics Team, you will play a crucial role in leading and promoting the transformation of complex clinical systems and the translation of clinical data across the continuum of care.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with senior leadership, clinical leaders, program managers, physicians, and staff to lead and promote clinical systems change and data translation.
- Serve as the lead strategic liaison between IMIT, acute and/or community sites/specialties, Professional Practice, Decision Support, and other key stakeholders.
- Interface with Clinical System Transformation (CST) governance to represent their site(s)/CoC and lead the Clinical Informatics team.
- Lead and inform major, complex, and/or regional initiatives, integrating computer and communications technologies and clinical change initiatives.
- Work to increase the effectiveness, efficiency, accountability, and sustainability of clinical initiatives that assist in the successful transitioning to a fully integrated electronic health record throughout VCH programs and services.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a Health Sciences Profession. Master's Degree in Nursing, Health Sciences, Health Administration, or Health Informatics.
- A minimum of seven (7) years' experience in a healthcare environment, including extensive experience leading the integration of computer technologies in clinical practice, regional policy and practice development, and establishing integrated clinical/systems environments through clinical change management methodologies and clinical data architecture.
- Experience preferred in Provider EHR workflows and usage.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively coach, facilitate, and lead others, and to foster a respectful and motivating environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of project management principles and practices.
- Demonstrated knowledge of change management principles and practices.
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, presentation, and written communication skills with a variety of audiences.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills related to clinical data architecture, data integrity, and translation of data across care sectors and services resulting in a fully integrated electronic health record.
- Demonstrated knowledge of new trends in clinical practice and information systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge of effective problem-solving techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with technical, operational, and vendor representatives.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and motivate in a team setting, as well as effectively work independently.
- Demonstrated ability to be change-oriented and possess an attitude of continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated, work with minimal direct supervision, and have the ability to organize and prioritize workload and projects in a self-directed manner.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
