Clinical Informatics Specialist Opportunity

BC Cancer is seeking a skilled Clinical Informatics Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our informatics team, you will play a critical role in the design, implementation, and evaluation of electronic health record systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform clinical workflow assessments and translate requirements to digital health/information technology leads.
  • Liaise with clinical groups, project teams, and organizational stakeholders to assess technology gaps and clinical needs.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in system design and evaluation of clinical content.
  • Lead the development of clinical change management policies and procedures.
  • Participate in the planning, coordination, and implementation of electronic health record system releases.

Requirements:

  • Current practicing registration as a RN or RPN with the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives.
  • Three (3) years' experience in a Clinical Informatics environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in policy and procedure development, business process analysis, and project management.
