Job Title: Telecommunications Equipment Specialist

EASYLOOK is seeking a skilled Telecommunications Equipment Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our installation and maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our telecommunications systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose and locate equipment faults, and adjust, replace or repair telecommunications equipment as needed.
  • Install, arrange, remove and maintain telephone equipment, wiring and associated hardware.
  • Repair or replace defective telephone equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Analyze test results and adjust, change or repair switching system, network, associated equipment and software to optimize system performance.
  • Complete and maintain test and service reports to track system performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Determine the nature, cause and location of trouble to ensure prompt resolution.
  • Operate computerized testing systems to conduct service tests on customer lines and equipment.
  • Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders or other support structures to access equipment.
  • Connect, disconnect and relocate cable outlets to ensure seamless service.
  • Determine work assignments to prioritize tasks and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Install cable modems and software to enable Internet access and ensure high-speed connectivity.
Requirements:
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in telecommunications equipment installation and maintenance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to distinguish between colors.
  • Manual dexterity and ability to climb and work aloft on poles, ladders or other support structures.
  • Efficient interpersonal skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility, initiative, and judgment to prioritize tasks and make decisions in a dynamic environment.
  • Reliability, dependability, and ability to work as part of a team.
