Job Title: Telecommunications Equipment Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Equipment Specialist to join our team at 12701154 Canada Inc. As a Telecommunications Equipment Specialist, you will be responsible for inspecting and testing cable signals and associated equipment, diagnosing and locating equipment faults, and adjusting, replacing or repairing telecommunications equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and Test Cable Signals: Inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose and Locate Equipment Faults: Diagnose and locate equipment faults, and adjust, replace or repair telecommunications equipment as needed.
  • Install and Maintain Equipment: Install, arrange, remove and maintain telephone equipment, wiring and associated hardware.
  • Repair and Replace Equipment: Repair or replace defective telephone equipment, and analyze test results to adjust, change or repair switching system, network, associated equipment and software.
  • Complete Reports: Complete and maintain test and service reports, and determine the nature, cause and location of trouble.
  • Train Apprentices: Instruct apprentices in the installation, maintenance and repair of telecommunications equipment.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in telecommunications equipment installation, maintenance and repair.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 35 hours per week.

This is a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, requiring attention to detail and strong organizational skills. The ideal candidate will have excellent client focus, flexibility, judgement, and reliability.
