Job Title: Telecommunications Equipment Specialist

EASYLOOK is seeking a skilled Telecommunications Equipment Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our installation and maintenance team, you will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining telecommunications equipment and networks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and test telecommunications equipment and networks
  • Diagnose and repair equipment faults
  • Inspect and maintain telecommunications equipment
  • Install, arrange, and remove telephone equipment, wiring, and associated hardware
  • Repair or replace defective telephone equipment
  • Analyze test results and adjust or repair switching systems, networks, and associated equipment
  • Complete and maintain test and service reports
  • Determine the nature, cause, and location of trouble
  • Operate computerized testing systems to conduct service tests on customer lines and equipment
  • Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders, or other support structures
  • Connect, disconnect, and relocate cable outlets
  • Determine work assignments
  • Install cable modems and software to enable Internet access
Requirements:
  • College/CEGEP education
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail and ability to distinguish between colors
  • Manual dexterity and ability to climb and work aloft
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Efficient interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
