Job Summary

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work with the Government of Saskatchewan as a Child and Family Support Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will provide support to children and their caregivers, helping them to navigate the complexities of the social services system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide emotional support and guidance to children and their caregivers
  • Assist with accessing community resources and services
  • Help to develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure comprehensive support
  • Document and report on client progress and outcomes

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g. social work, child and youth care)
  • Experience working with children and families in a support role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Working Conditions

  • Field work with a total of 37.33 hours/week, averaged over 4 weeks
  • Criminal Record Check, including a vulnerable sector query, as a condition of employment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluency in an Indigenous language
  • Experience working with diverse populations and communities
