Job Title: Corporate Asset Researcher

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Corporate Asset Researcher to join our team at the City of Calgary. As a key member of our Facilities Investment Management Division, you will play a critical role in providing research and asset data collection support to our Facility Asset Management team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct site visits to collect basic asset information, including equipment data, accommodation status, and building measurements.
  • Perform data analysis and synthesis on collected data.
  • Update or extract information from internal systems, such as Computer-aided Design (CAD) Drawing Inventory, inforEAM, and PowerPlan.
  • Liaise with other departments, business units, operations staff, and consultants.
  • Conduct and compile journal and website research on best practices and trends.
Qualifications:
  • A completed 2-year diploma in Architecture, Interior Design, or Engineering with at least 1 year of experience in asset management; OR
  • A degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with research, analysis, and the ability to synthesize large volumes of information from various sources is required.
  • Experience using Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) is required.
  • A valid Class 5 Licence or Graduate Driver's Licence (or provincial equivalency) and the use of a personal vehicle is required.
  • Knowledge and/or experience working in facility management, asset management, and/or architecture will be considered an asset.
  • Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills with demonstrated customer focus are essential.
  • The ability to work independently as well as effectively as a team member is required.
