The Health Informatics Specialist is responsible for working with the Informatics and clinical databases and the data warehouse to provide information as well as develop reports required for decision support in performance management, research and innovations at TGLN. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of relational database concepts and experience working with data warehouses and tools for data mining.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compiles data from various sources to produce reports, and analyzes data
  • Supports the quality assurance process by completing required quality activities and identifying areas for department improvement
  • Determines the data required from client requests then extracts and organizes data from the data warehouse as well as other data sources to generate reports using standard processes, tools, and procedures
  • Compiles data into usable information for others; formatting report output and providing preliminary analysis
  • Troubleshoots and resolves data extraction problems

The ideal candidate will have a diploma or degree in health informatics technology, computer science or related discipline, and three (3) years' work experience in health informatics, or a combination of equivalent experience and education. Experience working with SQL Server Reporting Services, data privacy and security, and business intelligence tools is an asset.
