At Parker Drilling, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Instrumentation Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing all tasks and duties related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical control and instrumentation systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical control and instrumentation systems, including electronics, programmable controllers, telecommunications, transmitters, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical and electronic equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and electronic system malfunctions.
  • Ensure all electrical and electronic equipment is properly calibrated and functioning within specified parameters.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Develop and implement procedures for the maintenance and repair of electrical and electronic equipment.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical instrumentation and control systems.
  • Knowledge of electrical and electronic systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS).
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and electronic diagrams and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel as required.

  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with other technicians and engineers.
  • Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and humidity.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy equipment and tools.
