About the Role

Our Oliver & Bonacini Restaurants team is looking for a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations and ensuring that our high standards of food quality and presentation are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage kitchen operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff supervision.
  • Develop and maintain a culture of culinary excellence, with a focus on creativity, innovation, and attention to detail.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a passion for food, a commitment to quality, and a willingness to learn and improve.
  • Collaborate with other department heads to ensure seamless service and exceptional guest experience.
  • Conduct recruitment and selection, training and development initiatives, as well as performance management and employee coaching.
  • Monitor kitchen cleanliness, safety, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, farmers, and other industry partners.

Requirements

  • Prior experience as a Sous Chef or Chef de Cuisine in a similar environment.
  • Passion for food, culinary excellence, and a commitment to quality.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and nurture relationships.
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on collaboration and mutual respect.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
