Job Overview

The Aircraft Materials Coordinator is a critical role within Porter Airlines, responsible for ensuring the efficient management of aircraft parts inventory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurate tracking and recording of aircraft parts inventory using electronic systems.
  • Effective shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely delivery of parts.
  • Performing Dangerous Goods Shipping as required, adhering to all relevant regulations.
  • Collaborating with Maintenance, Inventory Control, and Planning teams to pick and issue aircraft parts.
  • Returning unused parts to inventory, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Loading and off-loading freight from various transportation modes.
  • Handling AOG (Aircraft on Ground) requirements after hours and weekends, including creating purchase orders and arranging logistics.
  • Coordinating local pickups and drop-offs using courier services or approved methods.
  • Warehousing skids and crates using forklifts and hangar racks.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be organized and detail-oriented, able to work unsupervised.
  • A valid Class G2 or G driver's license with a clean driver's abstract.
  • Dependability, with a clear attendance record and reliable on-time reporting.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Able to obtain and retain a Transport Canada Airport Restricted Area Pass and Airside Vehicle Operators Permit.
  • Availability to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including days, overnights, weekends, and holidays.

Estimated Salary Range

$60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
