Job Title: Construction Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our team at Absolute Contracting. This is a permanent opportunity with a competitive salary and excellent benefits.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to construction, including preparing layouts, measuring and cutting materials, building foundations, and installing roof systems. Additionally, they will be required to fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware, as well as survey building locations and levels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Surveying building locations and levels
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, applicants must have a minimum of 3 years' experience in the trade and hold a Carpenter Trade Certification. They must also be able to instruct apprentices and supervise other workers.
