Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Operations Director to lead our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing manufacturing plans, establishing procedures for maintaining high standards of manufacturing operations, and ensuring compliance with federal, provincial, and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement manufacturing plans to ensure high-quality products and efficient operations.
  2. Establish and maintain procedures for maintaining high standards of manufacturing operations.
  3. Direct and monitor department supervisors to accomplish goals of the manufacturing plan.
  4. Ensure compliance with current federal, provincial, and local regulations.
  5. Identify and implement changes to improve productivity and reduce cost and scrap.
  6. Direct the establishment, implementation, and maintenance of production standards.
  7. Perform miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications

  1. Minimum 7 years of experience in manufacturing management, including 3+ years as a superintendent or manufacturing manager.
  2. Labor relations experience is strongly preferred.
  3. Demonstrated success with team building, change management, continuous improvement, conflict management, and driving cost performance.
  4. Outstanding communication skills (oral, written, presentation) are required.
  5. Bachelor's Degree in Business/Finance/Management/Operations or another related field is required.
  6. Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree, Six Sigma, Green Belt, or Black Belt certification.
