Join our team at Southbridge Care Homes as a Housekeeping/Laundry Aide

As a Housekeeping/Laundry Aide, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our residents' homes. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will ensure that our residents receive the highest level of care.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform cleaning and sanitizing tasks in assigned work areas, including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and dusting.
  • Collect and sort laundry, following specific instructions for treatment of soiled linens.
  • Wash and dry laundry, folding and delivering it to the appropriate units.
  • Observe machine operations and report malfunctions to the Supervisor.
  • Assist in maintaining laundry facilities, equipment, and supplies.
  • Ensure the privacy of residents during performance of duties.
  • Adhere to established company policies and procedures regarding quality assurance, fire, and safety.

Qualifications:

  • Considerable lifting, reaching, squatting, kneeling, crouching, moving equipment, and climbing ladders.
  • Ability to work safely, following established safety practices and procedures.
  • Ability to read and write English and follow simple written and verbal instructions in English.
