Join our team at Southbridge Care Homes as a Housekeeping/Laundry Aide

As a Housekeeping/Laundry Aide, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of our residents' homes. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will ensure that our residents receive the highest level of care.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform cleaning and sanitizing tasks in assigned work areas, following established policies and procedures.
  • Collect and sort laundry, following specific instructions for treatment of soiled linens.
  • Wash and dry laundry, adhering to designated washing and drying times.
  • Sort and deliver laundry to appropriate units, ensuring privacy of residents.
  • Adhere to established company policies and procedures regarding quality assurance, fire, and safety.
  • Perform outside work as required, such as removal of light snow, sanding, and salting.
  • Cooperate with other departments in tasks such as transferring residents, moving and storing supplies, furniture, and equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Considerable lifting, reaching, squatting, kneeling, crouching, moving equipment, and climbing ladders.
  • Ability to work safely, following established safety practices and procedures.
  • Ability to read and write English and follow simple written and verbal instructions in English.
