**Job Summary**

Southbridge Care Homes is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeping Aide to join our team. As a Housekeeping Aide, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our long-term care facilities.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Perform cleaning and sanitizing tasks in assigned work areas, adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • Collect and sort laundry, following specific instructions for treatment of soiled linens.
  • Operate laundry equipment, wash, dry, and fold laundry, and deliver to appropriate units.
  • Ensure privacy of residents during performance of duties.
  • Adhere to established company policies and procedures regarding quality assurance, fire, and safety.
  • Perform outside work as required, such as removal of light snow, sanding, and salting.
  • Cooperate with other departments in tasks such as transferring residents, moving and storing supplies, furniture, and equipment.

**Requirements**

  • Considerable lifting, reaching, squatting, kneeling, crouching, moving equipment, and climbing ladders.
  • Ability to work safely, following established safety practices and procedures.
  • Ability to read and write English and follow simple written and verbal instructions in English.
