Pediatric ICU Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric ICU team at the Health Sciences Centre. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will provide high-quality patient care to critically ill children and their families, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to critically ill children, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of patient care, including vital signs, lab results, and medication administration.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless transitions of care and effective communication.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).
- Minimum of two years recent acute nursing experience, preferably in a pediatric ICU setting.
- Successful completion of a post-basic ICU course is preferred.
- Knowledge of pediatric nursing principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
