About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisor to join our team at A Class Truck & Trailer Repair Ltd. As a Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our machine shop, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Co-ordination and Scheduling: Coordinate and schedule activities to ensure smooth operation of the machine shop.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed, maintaining a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Operations Oversight: Oversee the operation of the machine shop, including the setup and maintenance of equipment.
  • Supervision: Supervise a team of 3-4 workers, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Materials and Supplies: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as required.
  • Machine Operation: Use computer numerical control (CNC) machines to perform tasks.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a machine shop or related field.
  • Work Environment: The machine shop environment can be dusty and noisy.
  • Physical Capabilities: The role requires attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and the capacity to work under pressure.
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent oral communication skills, organized, and able to work in a team environment.
Working Conditions
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
