Job Title: Machine Shop Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Machine Shop Supervisor to join our team at A Class Truck & Trailer Repair Ltd.

Job Summary:

The Machine Shop Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our machine shop, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. This includes coordinating and scheduling activities, ensuring health and safety regulations are followed, and supervising workers and projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Co-ordinate and schedule activities to ensure smooth operation of the machine shop
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed at all times
  • Supervise workers and projects to ensure timely completion and high-quality results
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed
  • Set up machines and equipment for production
  • Use computer numerical control (CNC) machines to manufacture parts
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a machine shop or similar environment
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Steel-toed safety boots required
Work Environment:

The Machine Shop Supervisor will work in a dusty and noisy environment, with a fast-paced work environment and tight deadlines. The successful candidate will be able to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
