Dependable Truck & Tank Limited, a family-operated business founded in 1975, specializes in innovative design and engineering concepts. Our custom fabrication shop produces cargo tanks, trailers, and emergency vehicles tailored to client specifications. We manufacture versatile cargo tanks and trailer tankers for the distribution of petroleum products and other bulk-related commodities. Our custom tanks range from 2000-liter truck-mounted units to 60,000-liter B-train units.

About This Role

This Fabrication Specialist position requires candidates with previous experience in custom fabrication and at least 2+ years of Aluminum MIG welding expertise. As a custom fabrication shop producing highway petroleum cargo tankers, we require candidates to pneumatically test each tank they complete to ensure no leaks are present.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret basic tank drawings
  • Perform Aluminum MIG welding
  • Join large aluminum sheets
  • Place and weld bulkheads inside tanks
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of measurements using a measuring tape
  • Operate a hand plasma
  • Grind, groove, and chamfer
  • Operate crane hoists
  • Use some forklift equipment
  • Participate in some heavy lifting
  • Conduct confined space work
  • Utilize machine shop tools such as drill presses and shears to cut, bend, and tap parts, as well as manual plasma torch, chop saw, hand drills, and grinders
Requirements
  • Work from blueprints and raw materials to finished parts that can be welded together into complete products
  • Candidates must be flexible, reliable, and punctual
  • Previous experience with welding aluminum MIG is required
