Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Operations Manager to lead our Tamper Training team. As a key member of our Production Crew, you will be responsible for overseeing the qualification and training of tamper operators, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for tamper operators, including on-the-job training and classroom instruction.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Training group to coordinate training initiatives and ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Conduct regular assessments to ensure tamper operators meet the required qualifications and standards.
  • Investigate and resolve any issues or incidents related to tamper operator performance or equipment damage.
  • Lead the bulletin awards process for Production, ensuring fair and transparent allocation of machine operator positions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations, including those related to safety and collective agreements.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 10 years' experience in Production Crews, including 5 years in Group 1 or Special Group Machine Operator.
  • Proven knowledge and understanding of engineering field operations, production crews, and tamping equipment operation and safety procedures.
  • CROR qualified and familiar with CBA related to qualification and disqualification of positions.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to travel extensively and work in a fast-paced environment.
