Job Title: Labourer, Field and Vegetable Crops

At Josling Farms Inc., we are seeking a skilled Labourer, Field and Vegetable Crops to join our team. As a Labourer, Field and Vegetable Crops, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to crop maintenance, harvesting, and equipment operation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply the technique of hoeing between rows to maintain crop health and prevent weeds from growing.
  • Clear fields of wood and stones to ensure a smooth and efficient harvesting process.
  • Hand harvest vegetables to ensure high-quality produce.
  • Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops to promote healthy growth and maximize yields.
  • Weeding and fertilizing crops to maintain optimal growing conditions.
  • Harvest crops in a timely and efficient manner to meet market demands.
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including wet, dusty, hot, and cold environments.
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to distinguish between colors and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks that require bending, crouching, kneeling, and sitting.
  • Ability to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking environments.
  • Ability to work in a rural area and travel to different locations as needed.
Work Environment:

As a Labourer, Field and Vegetable Crops, you will be working in a rural area with a fast-paced environment. You will be required to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform tasks that require physical labor.

Language and Work Term:

The primary language spoken in the workplace is English, and the work term is seasonal, with a typical workweek of 40 to 50 hours.
