Salary Information

The estimated salary for this position ranges from $118,793 to $142,226 per annum, plus remoteness allowance if applicable.

Job Description

This senior role reports to the Vice President, II & R, and is responsible for overseeing the planning, research, analysis, development, implementation, evaluation, and monitoring of Indigenous Initiatives and Reconciliation programming, including the Centre for Aboriginal Languages and Culture (CALC) and Indigenous Curriculum and Research.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead community-based research projects and ensure adherence to Indigenous research ethics protocols;
  • Develop and implement culturally relevant communication strategies to work effectively with Indigenous peoples;
  • Manage change initiatives and apply knowledge of change management principles;
  • Contribute to the annual budgeting process and manage resources effectively;
  • Work collaboratively within a complex and fast-paced environment, utilizing information technology and Microsoft Office 365 skills;
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Ph.D. in Indigenous Education, Indigenous Studies, or a relevant discipline;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with Indigenous peoples;
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines;
  • A valid Class 5 Driver's license or equivalent, as travel may be required.
