The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Policy Analyst to join our National Institute on Ageing (NIA) team. The successful candidate will conduct policy analysis, monitor and track policy issues, and develop actionable policy recommendations to support our public policy agenda.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct policy analysis and research to inform our public policy agenda
  • Monitor and track policy issues and trends across multiple jurisdictions
  • Develop policy recommendations and briefings for senior government officials
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, partners, and government officials
  • Lead engagement and outreach activities to advance progress on key issues related to ageing in Canada
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary degree in political science, public policy, business administration, economics, or a related field
  • Bilingual skills in English and French (oral, writing, reading)
  • Minimum four years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the public sector, not-for-profit organization, or academic institution
  • Experience designing and executing policy research, performing complex analysis, and writing policy documents
  • Knowledge of national and jurisdictional key issues related to ageing in Canada
