Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer to play a crucial role in leading multi-disciplinary engineering, procurement and construction activities in support of the Eskay Creek revitalization project. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Civil Engineering and experience in EPCM execution, preferably in a New Build Construction environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead multi-disciplinary engineering, procurement and construction activities in support of the Eskay Creek revitalization project.
  • Assist in design, especially on earthworks and water/slurry pumping systems.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with environmental teams to ensure that water management practices meet environmental regulations and best practices.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering (preferably Civil) or equivalent.
  • A Minimum of 5+ years of directly related Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) execution experience or equivalent combination of experience.
  • Proven field experience on Civil foundation construction, ideally 3+ years in the field.
  • Mining experience is preferred, ideally in a New Build Construction environment.
  • Strong computer skills using MS office suite.
  • Able to lead and direct field construction crews with proven track record.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
Working Conditions:

This role will be split between time spent at the Eskay Creek site and Vancouver Corporate office. A significant amount of time each month will be spent at site, and it is a requirement of this role. The incumbent must be able to work away from home and travel to different work locations or events outside of regular office hours as well as traveling to Skeena's remote project sites.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum
