Job Title: Engineering Sales

TalentSphere Staffing Solutions is proud to partner with a leading manufacturer and distributor in the HVAC space in North America. We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Salesperson to join their Kelowna branch.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing the needs of the engineering community by understanding, engineering, and detailing the selection of components, systems, and solutions for HVAC designs. This role requires excellent communication skills, self-motivation, and a desire to learn.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry stakeholders to grow sales and expand market share.
  • Maintain a presence in the engineering community to have products specified or listed as an equal on all projects.
  • Understand client needs and provide technical solutions to achieve satisfaction and design intent.
  • Stay current with industry and local codes and regulations, as well as market trends, to ensure compliance and identify opportunities.
  • Provide outstanding customer service with a customer-first approach.
  • Continuously learn and grow, self-educate, and attend manufacturer's factory and training visits.
  • Build sustainable customer relationships and trust through open communication.
  • Cross-train on mechanical and air-side products to identify opportunities for other products.
  • Be a member of ASHRAE and attend monthly meetings.
  • Assist with planning and implementing new product introductions to the market.
  • Attend divisional and office meetings, industry events, and customer events as required.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering with excellent knowledge of HVAC systems.
  • University degree or College diploma in Mechanical Engineering specialization required.
  • Holding a Professional Engineer designation (PEng) is an asset.
  • Ability to read Architectural and Mechanical drawings.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal, listening, and written presentation.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office.
  • Self-motivated, creative, and resourceful.
  • Ability to work under pressure unsupervised.
  • Strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit and innovative mind.
  • Strong work ethic guided by personal integrity and mutual respect.
