We are seeking a skilled laborer to join our team at Alberta Ltd. As a construction worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful completion of our projects.
About the JobThe primary responsibility of this position is to load, unload, and transport construction materials. This may involve operating heavy equipment such as cranes or forklifts. You will also be required to erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades. Additionally, you will mix, pour, and spread materials like concrete and asphalt.
Requirements- High school graduation certificate is required for this role.
- Prior experience in a related field, preferably in construction, is an asset.
You can expect to work outdoors in various weather conditions. The job requires standing for long periods, working at heights, and being exposed to dust and other hazards. Fast-paced environments, physically demanding tasks, and tight deadlines are common in this role.
Tasks and Responsibilities- Loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials.
- Erecting and dismantling concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades.
- Mixing, pouring, and spreading materials like concrete and asphalt.
- Assisting in demolishing buildings.
- Cleaning and piling salvaged materials.
- Removing rubble and debris at construction sites.
- Tending or feeding machines or equipment used in construction.
- Directing traffic at or near construction sites.
This role involves working in fast-paced environments with physically demanding tasks and tight deadlines. You must have manual dexterity, be able to handle heavy loads, and work well under pressure.
Weight HandlingYou will be required to lift up to 100 lbs (45 kg) regularly.
