The Long Haul Driver position at Alberta Ltd. offers an exciting opportunity for experienced drivers to join our team and play a vital role in the transportation of goods across Canada.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious driver to operate straight trucks, transporting a variety of goods and materials. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).

In this role, you will be responsible for loading and unloading goods, operating and maintaining company vehicles, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. You will also be required to maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.

Responsibilities
  • Loading and unloading goods from trailers and containers
  • Operating and maintaining company vehicles, including performing pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections
  • Maintaining accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
  • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, including Hours of Service (HOS) regulations and weight restrictions
  • Communicating effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other stakeholders
Requirements
  • Valid CDL with a minimum of 7 months to less than 1 year of experience as a commercial driver
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
