About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated individual to join our Process Automation department at ArcelorMittal Dofasco.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and development of automated systems and processes for manufacturing operations and process control systems.
  • Analyze manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for automation.
  • Lead the development and implementation of process control software / systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation systems with existing equipment and processes.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain automation systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Continuously monitor and improve automation systems to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Provide training and support to manufacturing team members on the use of automation systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership on latest relevant technologies and trends (IoT, Edge, AI).
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline (Computer, Software, Electrical, Chemical, Mechatronics), Bachelor of Computer Science, Bachelor of Technology, or a related technical field.
  • Formal software training or experience is required.
  • Capable of analyzing technical information and quickly learning new technical skills.
  • Passion for software development.
  • Experience with Object-oriented programming using C++, C# or Java.
  • Advanced skills in problem investigation, analysis and solving.
  • Highly collaborative team player.
  • 7+ years of professional experience across any of the following areas: software development, working with automated systems, manufacturing operations or operations technology.
