Configuration Management Specialist

Executive Talent on Demand is seeking a highly skilled Configuration Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for defining and managing the Service Asset and Configuration Management policy and processes for our client in the GTA.
This role will involve supporting the IT management team to exercise control of IT configuration items, ensuring that all service assets and IT infrastructure are up to date. You will be accountable for the creation, implementation, and communication of configuration management plans, processes, and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Propose and agree interfaces with change management, problem management, network management, release management, computer operations, logistics, finance, and administration functions
- Monitor the population of the asset register and configuration management database
- Take responsibility for the configuration management policy and process
- Control and manage the database, and perform change evaluation based on information received, assessing the quality of requests for change
Requirements:
- Relevant IT technical field and service management experience
- Working experience using ServiceNow or similar software
- Hands-on experience with configuration management (working with databases, software, and tools)
- Database design and architecture experience
