Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Control Specialist to join our team at The Chemical Engineer.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified engineer to work with our Process Control Group, responsible for identifying, implementing, and maintaining advanced process control applications.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of process control systems, including Experion Process Knowledge System (EPKS) and TDC 2000/3000. They will be responsible for updating and maintaining displays, loop configurations, and navigational elements within these systems.

This role requires excellent analytical and technical skills, as well as the ability to communicate complex technical data clearly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Day-to-day monitoring and support for existing applications on one or more process units.
  • Collaboration with Process Contact Engineers, Board Operators, and other Technical group members to maintain good control and operations.
  • Supporting Advanced Control and RTO Engineers to develop new applications and maintain existing ones.
  • Identifying and correcting issues in process control applications or underlying processes using fundamental knowledge and equipment expertise.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Chemical or Process Control Engineering, or equivalent certification from a recognized Professional Engineering Association.
  • 0-5 years' experience in Refinery, Chemical Plant, or closely related engineering fields.
  • Proficiency in computer programming concepts and communication skills.
  • High degree of analytical and technical ability, with self-discipline to organize and work on details without distraction.

This role offers a competitive salary, estimated to be between $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience. Benefits include:
