Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience. Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Research and Development Engineer to join our team at EVRAZ North America's Research and Development Centre in Regina, Saskatchewan. As a member of our Research group, you will participate in product development projects, mill process optimization trials, and qualification testing and failure investigations.

You will use investigative techniques such as SEM/EDAX analysis, quantitative image analysis, sonic inspection, mechanical testing, and metallographic analyses. Your role will involve working as a team member, participating in planning of trials, data collection and analysis, and providing exposure to all aspects of EVRAZ NA operations, including steelmaking, casting, rolling, and pipe forming and welding.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Enrolled in a recognized Engineering program at a Canadian University and completed a minimum of 1 year of the program.
  • Knowledge of engineering principles, including statics and strength of materials.
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks or equivalent 3D development software or Finite Element Method design packages.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A self-starter with a passion for improvement and good organization skills.
