As an Aml Lead Auditor Professional at our organization, you will play a key role in the audit of processes and systems related to Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorist Financing (AMLTFA).

Key Responsibilities
  • You will work closely with the PCMLTFA Chief Advisor to ensure alignment of audit processes in line with internal laws, regulations, and standards.
  • You will coordinate, plan, and execute audits of processes, systems, and activities related to the PCMLTFA, taking into account identified risks.
  • You will effectively communicate audit results to internal stakeholders.
  • You will maintain a close relationship with the Bank's other risk management sectors.
  • You will continuously keep informed on regulatory requirements, industry practices, and audit techniques (tools, data analysis, etc.) and contribute to enhancing PCMLTFA expertise among colleagues in Internal Audit.
  • You will carry out regular and rigorous follow-up with partners on the progress of the action plans developed following the audit work and/or regulatory authorities reports, ensuring the quality of the documentation.
  • You will represent the internal audit team to regulatory authorities on matters related to the PCMLTFA and ensure that the bank maintains a transparent and constructive relationship with regulators.

Your Team

You will be part of a team of 13 professional colleagues and report to the Senior Director, Internal Audit – Personal Banking, Client Experience, and Compliance. Our team independently assesses and advises on the effectiveness of the retail business's end-to-end processes, performing audit engagements on regulatory risk management and brand and customer experience governance.

Requirements
  • An industry-related bachelor's degree and 8 years of relevant experience or a master's degree in accounting, finance, law, or a related field and 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in internal or external auditing, with a solid understanding of auditing principles, professional standards, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated expertise in combating the PCMLTFA, with in-depth knowledge of local and international regulations (such as OSFI, FINTRAC, OFAC) and compliance practices in the banking sector.
  • Ability to evaluate and interpret complex information, identify problems, and propose strategic solutions in line with regulatory expectations.
  • Knowledge of data analytics tools (e.g., Excel, data visualization tools) to support audit recommendations and enable continuous process auditing.
